What do Justin Bieber and Albert Einstein have in common?  They’re all born under the sign of Pisces.  And they’re in good company!  Throughout history, Pisces babies have done some amazing things.  We’re talking about George Washington… Elizabeth Taylor…  Copernicus… Steve Jobs… and Napoleon, just to name a few!  Happy birthday, Pisces!

There will be 76 candles on the cake of the man who gave us “Laughter in the Rain,” “Breaking Up Is Hard to Do” and so many other songs.  Check out this vintage video, where he performs with his 13-year-old daughter, Dara.


 Patty HearstPatty Hearst (b. 1954)

The granddaughter of media mogul William Randolph Hearst turns 61 this year.  Hearst was kidnapped by the Symbionese Liberation Army in 1974. She spent 19 months with her captors—joining them in criminal acts soon after her kidnapping—before she was captured by the FBI.

Pat Riley (b. 1955)

NBA coach extraordinaire is turning 60 this year.  After years coaching the LA Lakers, NY Knicks and Miami Heat,  Riley officially retired from coaching in 2008.


Philip Roth

Philip Roth (b. 1933)

Famed American novelist Philip Roth was born in Newark, New Jersey 82 years ago.   He announced that he was retiring from writing in 2012, but our fingers are crossed that he’ll find new stories to tell.

Perhaps best known for her Academy Award-winning role in The Three Faces of Eve, Woodward has been a class act since she first appeared onscreen.  Turning 85 this year, she made her mark in several 1950s TV series before turning to the big screen.

That hair!  Those eyes!  That voice!  Bolton—born Mikhail Georgievich Bolotin 62 years ago—has sold over 75 million records, including his still-glorious version of “When a Man Loves a Woman.”
